Facebook chat is a jabber server
>Facebook chat is just a jabber server, so you can connect to it like any other jabber server. Here are the credentials to do so:
Set Domain: chat.facebook.com
Password: <your Facebook password>
Connect port: 5222
Connect server: chat.facebook.com
(Untick the box labelled “Require SSL/TLS”)
iChat (Mac)
On iChat menu selexct ‘Preferences’
Click ‘Accounts’, then click ‘+’.
Select ‘Jabber’ from the pull down menu
Enter the following:
Website integration with your Facebooks pages events
>It is possible to integrate facebook with your website events using the facebook API’s, without having to provide a login etc.
A solution can be implemented using a combination of javascript for the connection and php for the management.

Facebook Mail API
>This has got to be a good thing, opening up the facebook mail API. It would mean that you could read your facebook messages from outlook or Thunderbird, if the appropiate addon was written. If people want to be private, then don’t sign up to facebook or don’t put anything on facebook they want to keep private. This is facebook attempting to compete with your hotmail or gmail.
